🔗 Share this article The Animated Series' Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant. Season 1 presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion. The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve? "Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!" The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series. That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season. "I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before." She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards. "I've seen a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy." Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
